How to Pick Up Men
Let’s not dilly-dally around and let me tell you how to pick up men: it starts with getting your mind on the right track.
Once you’ve sorted out your issues concerning anxiety and self-confidence, getting a guy will be a walk in the park!
If you want guys to see the real, attractive you, there’s a bunch of common but highly erroneous mindsets which need to be avoided.
Contrary to popular belief, knowing how to pick up men doesn’t depend that much on sporting a certain kind of hairstyle or having a specific type of wardrobe. Of course being on top of your looks is a must, but attractiveness starts from within.
Our emotions – and managing them in particular – matter a great deal when it comes to dealing with guys. When we’re plagued with self-doubt and allow crazy thoughts to fill up our heads, it seriously diminishes our irresistibility.
For instance, it’s common for a woman to be deathly afraid of making a fool of herself in front of a hot guy. A lot of women are so racked with nervousness that they end up realizing their self-fulfilling prophecies and blow their chance big-time.
For the women who’ve gone through this traumatic experience, they’re too scared to try again and choose to suffer in silent agony.
It’s only human to take a break from time to time. However, you’re in trouble if you’d rather stay in bed all day long on a REGULAR basis.
You’re only digging a deeper hole for yourself by making a habit out of not wanting to meet people.
Consequently, you’re robbing yourself of the wonderful opportunities out there, such as running into potential soulmates. Since you’re already experiencing some form of discomfort, you might as well take a risk and get out there!
There’s also the misconception that being in a relationship is the be-all and end-all purpose of living.
Following this equally destructive way of thinking is NOT how to pick up men. If you allow yourself to fall into this mindset, you’ll come into the dating scene as a desperate woman, hungry for a guy’s approval.
Obviously, this is not an attractive vibe to give out to men. In order to win a guy over, you’ll need to be happy with who you are – even without a man in your life!
This may seem like a counter-intuitive way of thinking, but it’s important to be a whole person first before you get into a relationship with a man. Otherwise, you’ll always be looking to him to “complete” you, and he certainly won’t appreciate the responsibility!
A relationship will only work if it’s made up of two well-rounded and emotionally independent individuals who can enjoy being together without sucking the fun out of each other’s lives.
When there’s a needy partner in the equation, it puts the health of the relationship at risk because the other person will eventually feel suffocated from constantly satisfying his partner’s whims.
So really, we girls have a better chance of finding and keeping a guy if we can steer clear of these two particularly counterproductive attitudes.
Fear and neediness are never sexy qualities to have. Worse, these traits will only cause you to act in manipulative and highly unattractive ways.
Don’t stress out that you haven’t found “The One” yet – the less concerned you are about this, the more likely that he’ll fall into your lap. There’s enough quality men out there, so don’t ever worry that you won’t have a slice of the action.
Instead, work on becoming the best version of yourself, and everything else will fall into place!
